Our Method:

Every election offers the chance to bring fiscal control to the Government that will transform the way the country works. This historic change can be the end of a Government that is too big, too intrusive, and too easy with the public's money. It will be the return of a Government that respects the values of the citizens of this great nation.

This plan of action will hold the government accountable and eliminate the control of the Woke Left. The citizens have demanded this reform. We hereby commit our names to this Promise of a more free and efficient Government.

1. We will not approve of any Regulation, Law, Rule, or Policy unless the following standards are met.

  • The regulation's objective is protecting public health, safety, or welfare, NOT restraining competent adults for their "own good" nor promoting some private interests to the detriment or disadvantage of others.

  • The regulation must be within the power of the government to enact.

  • The regulation targets an activity or condition that is an actual threat to public health, safety, or welfare, which is verifiable, substantial, and not remote.

  • The regulation will substantially reduce or eliminate the threat that it targets.

  • The regulation's short, medium and long-term costs and adverse consequences are not out of proportion to its benefits.

  • Enforcement of the regulation can be performance benchmarked.

  • The regulation is the least restrictive and the least onerous restraint on freedom consistent with feasibly reducing the targeted threat to public health, safety, or welfare.

2. We must restrict the business of government to government. All competitive, commercial endeavors are not a government function.

3. We must mandate competition: If there are established private markets for a service provided by government agencies, managed competition would be required.

4. We must restrict spending growth to an objective formula: The growth of expenditures should be constrained by an objective formula based on the prior year's expenditures adjusted by inflation and population growth.

5. We must kick the federal funding habit: Federal funding creates Federal mandates that usually require the increase in government size. We must bar all Federal funding that have mandates attached.

6. Transparency:

  • Set a deadline for responding to records requests - not more than 3 to 5 days.

  • Require governmental actions to cite authority - every proposed law, rule or restriction enacted should be accompanied by a full disclosure of all authority by citation.

  • Post all financial transactions online - with quarterly independent audits.

  • Post performance benchmarking online

    • Review performance of every agency and service.

    • Citizen's input scorecard of agency performance.

    • Rankings for specific governmental officials
